As the first and only musical workshop in Today’s China, Modern Shadow Musical Workshop (MSMW) has excelled in its mission to train promising artists toward success in the extraordinary world of the performing arts since it’s establishment in 2005.

MSMW offers conservatory training. The courses are performance based. The approach is practical rather than academic. All of the coursework relates exclusively to the artistic and professional development of students. The curriculum is designed for students to learn and master the varied approaches and techniques that are utilized in the profession. The training is eclectic. The classroom is a laboratory in which students are encouraged to explore and gain mastery of varying methods and processes in a focused environment.

MSMW’ s faculty members are professionals. They are accomplished actors, directors, choreographers, dancers, and singers who are committed to teaching aspiring artists. They have worked on Broadway, in film, theater, television, national tours and regional theater. The combination of their performance background, depth of knowledge, and commitment to teaching creates an outstanding learning environment for students.

The two founders of MSMW are Mr. Sawyer Lee and Ms. Shadow. Mr. Lee is considered as the best recording and musical producer in China as well as an outstanding vocal training expert. Shadow who accepted a professional education background in American is currently evaluated by the industry as the best musical actress in China.
